  • Mouse Wheel Will Not Scroll Hello again 7 Forums! Just recently, my trackball was acting funky, so I took out the trackball, plugged in the new BTC Optical Mouse (Just a basic 2 button mouse with a mouse wheel) my dad had sitting in his room.and the mouse wheel won't scroll when I try to scroll with the wheel!
  • Thumb Wheel (Horizontal scroll) The Thumb wheel is located on the side of the mouse. You can use the wheel for horizontal scrolling and adjust the scroll speed. Or, you can assign a different task to the wheel, such as controlling the screen brightness or turning the volume up and down. The default setting is Horizontal scroll. Forward and back.
Why Does My Scroll Wheel Change Volume

I am lost and not sure actually where I should posting my problem, here it is:I have always been making use of ubuntu 10.04, and since this morning hours, my mouse scroll wheel is apparently 'secured' to use just for volume. Normally, mouse wheel actions volume upward or down, but only when I hover over the volume applet, today this action of the scroll wheel takes place regardless of where I are in desktop atmosphere. This leads to bigger problem, in that I can no longer make use of wheel to scroll in browser (firefox). Regardless of what software I feel in, rolling the mouse wheel, allways boosts or reduces the volume.Would end up being enormous appreciative of any guidance or path you could give me.Thanks a lot.

Mouse Scroll Wheel Jumps

Yesterday I noticed that my mouse wheel no longer scrolls from anywhere on a web page. On some pages it works well but not on others. It's almost as if it hits a blind spot and will no longer scroll. If I move the pointer onto the scroll bar, or near the margin, it usually works there. If I move to a different web page it may work differently.
